Call me "flash in the Pan" M7-TI for sale!

Why not return it?

Why not return it?

Cant you just return it to the dealer? If it was B&H they would allow it. If not, how much are you selling it for?

I'm sorry to tell you, but your M7 is worthless now that the M8 comes out.
Especially if it is already 3 days old

However, I'll do you a favour and offer 50$😀

Its a shame you are selling it after 3 days and one roll. If you ran a roll of Reala through it and scanned it with your Nikon scanner I can see how you would be a bit disapointed with it. My Nikon scanner scans reala HORRIBLY and that is why I no longer use Reala. Kodak films scan amazingly on the scanner as does any of the B&W films.

My scans, while grainier than most high end digital, still print AMAZINGLY at even 11X14. At 1st I was a bit disapointed with the M7 after my 1st 2-3 rolls, but now I would not trade it for anything. I LOVE it to death, and even considered the Titanium when I made the purchase but the wife just woudnt understand, so I went with the basic starter set.

Anyway, by you mailing in the warranty cards you probably will take a huge hit on it, but maybe not, Im no expert.

Also, if you shot a roll and had them processed at a one hour lab, the quality is HORRIBLE at most of them. I'd give it another shot with some different film or slide film and you may grow to really enjoy it.

Good luck with it, sad to see it did not work out for you. Persoanlly, I would not even trade mine for an M8, and have no plans to buy an M8 anytime in the near future. I love B&W too much and its just not the same with digital.

Good luck!

I have to admit, I am dumbfounded by this.

I have shot millions of pictures in thousands of hours over 30 years. I have always made very educated and informed decisions on gear considering that the item has to quickly become a sharp arrow in a quiver of tools.

As collectible as Leitz is, I don't view them that way. A Leica is a true photographer's tool. Any fine instrument takes time and passion to learn to perfection. Leica optics are demanding of their users in this way as well.

Certain Leitz optics are so incredible that only the most psychotically talented will make imagery good enough to transcend earth shattering look of them.

It is with this in mind that I read this topic and can only do one thing:

That's roughly one picture on average every five minutes for thirty years, assuming a 12-hour day - impressive 😉

In general I agree, however. There's a reason why you should try before you buy. However, since Greg has glass awaiting the M8, I'm assuming he's got another Leica M body (else he could easily be disappointed with the M8 as well)

I find the number of images taken by the previous poster, fishy. Even if "dumbfounded".😱

Photography is really all I have done in all those years. In the last 6 I have shot tons in time lapse sequences that span hours for niche markets.

I am pretty much obsessed so it is good that I get paid for it, LOL!
