I'm hoping there might be enough motion picture shooters to help me out with this one.

I'm planning on finally digging out a Canon 1014 I was gifted a long while ago for a small project in the winter. I've worked with video many times before, and tend to double-check exposure with a handheld meter. With fractional shutter speeds, that's never a problem, even using an iPhone app.

My old faithful Digi-Lite F has cine settings, at least for common frame rates, but not for shutter angle, while the Canon offers adjustable shutter settings between 150 and 220 º. Is the meter assuming I'm using a 180º shutter?

Second, knowing that Super8 cameras often use a pellicle mirror, does this need to be compensated for?

I believe that since it's adjustable shutter it shouldn't be pellicle, but check with manual. I'd assume 180 shutter angle, between 180 and 220 is maybe 1/2 of a stop, and less than 1/3 from 180 to 150.
