Adrian in the small church up the hill next to Kettle Gallery:

Blimey, I didn't realise you'd even followed me in! I like that, but not as much as I do Orson Welles with his iPod just above. Very moody! I scanned my pics from the Werra last night (the stuff in the OM10 might be there for months yet until I finish it...), so hopefully will get them up here soon.

I see the water in Cambridge is as rock hard as ever - hopefully you have less of it than we do in Oxford at the moment!

Here's some of my pics. They seem to be even dustier than Vinh's - between a student darkroom and a flat with a carpet that I swear spontaneously generates crud, I think I have a problem!

I was thinking that Fomapan 100 in neat Perceptol, plus a Tessar lens, made for some seriously sharp scans... then I twigged I'd got USM turned on in the scanner by mistake (just upgraded the software with a new PC - wonder if it still thinks colour film is blue?). Nonetheless, I love that window one - it's almost 3D.

Very nice tone from iso 100. That tessar is plenty of sharp and good exposure on the windows photo too! it was a very nice day (compared to this week of constant rain).
Hope we can do it again soon!

I agree, very good shot Vinh. Didn't they used to call it (and no doubt still do call it) "nuit américain?"

I like Adrian's shadow in the gate shot too.

i didn't know it's an actual technique till Steve pointed out. Sorry for my ignorance. I measured for the brightest part and expose for it and let the rest falls into darkness to highlight the character face. And the guy is the first walking by that patch of light that i find interesting.
I usually takes a bit more time on the editing/scanning. Will do a proper scan later.

Anyone free on 22/3 for a meetup? may be check out some local events? (not sure what's on but cambridge has quite a lot of events isn't it?).
I have a day free and will walk around shooting.
