After following the story of dadsm3's M6 and its recovery from a night in the rain (very glad to hear that the M6 is fine by the way!!!), I got to thinking about "camera first-aid." I am particularly interested in travel first-aid. When you travel what sort of camera first-aid kit do you carry? Do you have any tips for saving your cameras from the types of disasters (minor or major) that can occur when you are travelling and far from DAG, Sherry, any of the other "camera healers," or even a camera store?

One of them travel towels, to dry off after rain, and to pack it in for transport.

You've read the Hitch-Hikers' Guide to the Galaxy, haven't you?

No, I haven't. I know I should have but what can one do? 🙂

"The Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy has a few things to say on the subject of towels.
A towel, it says, is about the most massively useful thing an interstellar hitchhiker can have."
But mostly.."any man who can hitch the length and breadth of the galaxy, rough it, slum it, struggle against terrible odds, win through, and still knows where his towel is is clearly a man to be reckoned with."

Small screwdrivers and a bag for my wits' end...😱
