Camera leather now supprt R-D1

i'm retiring my sexy-red R-D1, possibly to some green, or lizard.. i don't know... I like different.

notice I left the rubber parts on the camera? I knew the leatherette was just too thin... i got this red leatherette from morgan a year before he supported the RD-1...

I ordered from them about 2 weeks ago, maybe longer, and have seen neither hide nor hair of my new leather. :bang:

I hate to complain, but I've now been waiting more than two months for my Zorki covering, and Morgan hasn't responded to emails...hope everything is OK at cameraleather...

Took a couple of weeks to get to Oz and the first set wasn't quite right. Morgan then sent out a replacement set (plus extra) and this fitted fine. Little slow, but can't fault the product, courtesy or service.

well, i ordered mine last friday and it arrived today, fast enough service for me. unfortunately, i ordered a black and a grey griptac kit and 2 blacks arrived. no matter...
i will cover the 2 bodies this weekend. still unsure what to do about the backside. morgan sent a peice plus some spacers for backside but i'm not sure how it all works. i'm waiting on an answer from morgan now. i like that bump/grip but i think it would be better with the griptac on it.

the back piece from camerleather looks like it would fit right over the grip onto the in place covering...but there are 2 strips of sticky stuff also included that i have no idea what they are for.

morgan sent me a photo of the rd1 back with the grip removed and the griptac applied.
it's one or the other as the griptac will not stick on the grip.

i'm leaving the grip on for now.

so the spacers included isn't an alternative "grip"? yeah, the pic of the backside looks a little weird...

the spacers are to level out the surface and to keep your hand from inadvertantly opening the sd card door.
