Maybe because Cosina has a sense of humour. I enjoy the thought that some Wetzlar snobs - whoops, I chose an M4 over an M6, so maybe I'm one - get taken in and start cossetting their inexpensive German gear 'since 1756.'

The rest of us know they're Japanese. Incidentally, though I loved my Nikkor 35mm/1.4 AIS, I think the Ultron (35/1.7) is at least its equal. This is all very impressionistic, though. Both lenses handle beautifully for me - none of this small lens and focusing tab nonsense....

It's still in the works in progress stages, hopeful to make a debut next month (if the testing phase goes according to plan).
