Looking for reputable, quality service for my c1983 Nikon FM. It has made it this far without damage or disgrace but some of the seals and “fuzzy stuff” around the focusing screen have deteriorated. Nikon doesn’t service it anymore and the list of repair people they sent me was really a list of sales dealers. I suppose they think I’ll just buy a new camera!
I messed up the title. Looking for a place in or near NYC preferably Nassau
I found Phototech via the B&H website. Not familiar with them but they say they still work on film cameras. I can’t seem to find anything in Nassau, which would spare me having to ship it. Most important is someone who is a pro and will reassemble it properly.

You could try Camera Doctor - I’ve had success with them in the past.
New seals and mirror foam don't require disassembly, it's an easy job for any tech. Can't help with local but there are many options if you can ship, you might get a quote from Nippon Photo Clinic in NYC.
