Camera repairs in Western Australia

Just a quick one for anyone in W.A who needs camera repairs done. Max Dellaway in Subiaco is brilliant. I've gone to him for years and he is always the best priced and does a great job. He is without doubt the biggest asset to photography in W.A.

In case you're wondering I've just got back some things from him and they are up to their usual standard.

I've got two in for repair at Hartland Camera Repairs, first time customer - if they aren't up to scratch it is always nice to know there is another place to go. It is hard finding information about camera repair shops, I think most people chuck their cameras in the bin instead...!

Does he specialise in any particular make e.g. Leica? I seem to remember a recent post from someone in WA asking about Leica service.

Max has just done a Leica for me - however I haven't put film through it it feels spot on (to be confirmed or not once I have) but he's done 2 slrs, fixed a lens(for free because it was a few second job), and a medium format cam for me in the past. He's done this for 45 years as a pro and now he does it in retirement.

He's also a mine of info and a great photographer too boot.
I've learned more from him chatting when I pick up my stuff then I did in 4 years at photo school.
