Camera switch from raw to jpg?

Hi there, last time I opened my SD folder to download the raw files taken with the RD1 I found that, for an unknown reason, some pictures - the last ones taken in a particular day - had been saved as jpg files instead as raw. I checked the menu in the camera and raw was still set as the default preference setting; that means that I didn't change from raw to jpg but, apparently, the camera did it. What could have happen? Any clue? Thanks.

The most probable explanation is that the setting has been accidentally changed to JPEG and back to RAW. It's certainly not completely impossible, although two dials would need to have turned at the same time.

Maybe you were changing white balance and accidentally changed the RAW to JPEG ?
