Camera to Lens weight

So my M converter arrived today and I'm trying out my M Lenses on the GF1. Is it just me, or are the lenses 2-3x heaver then the camera body?

Huge difference between CV 1.2 and a Lux 35 P-Asph.

Huge difference between Nokton 1.2 and a Lux 35 P-Asph.

Canon 50mm f1.8 and the Leitz Elmerat 28mm f2.8

Both give the camera the feeling of being very front heavy.
