Started about 1,5 years ago collecting cameras but it's getting quite sick right now.
Bought four cameras last week (Konica C35, Petri Color 35, Mamiya Super 23, Ricoh 500 g). Time to visit the doctor or are there more people who recognize this behaviour?

There's always CCA (Camera Collectors Anonymous) - but I've never met anyone who belonged to it (certainly not anyone from this forum) .

The only cure is to go cold turkey, get rid of all of your gear execpt for one or two favorites.

If you need help, pm me. I have a huge room that I have not filled up yet. You can send all your stuff to me. I promise you will never have to see it again. 😀

That is a nice case of GAS, particularly if you keep up that pace from week to week, month to month. I'd do it too, if I had the money.

The easiest way to cut down on the number of cameras that you are buying is to get into Nikon RF's. I would suggest going right for an SP. At least it will not take up as much room.

For a moment there I thought this thread was about those cellphone cameras.

'tis not a virus, 'tis a sugar which is hard to digest, and lack of gear leads to GAS buildup; only relief is either more gear or a spoonful of reality check (which sometimes just doesn't go down easy)

Go for it.

Play with them.

Enjoy.

Especially that Super Press 23. You are going to love that camera! A little big to carry for some folk, but the big negatives make up for it. Be sure to get a thick strap for it.

The only problem is the GAS that will cause you to look for the 50mm, 65mm, 150mm and 250mm lenses, as well as several backs (one each for color, b/w, slide, cut film). Some cut film holders, etc. \\

I think I can speak for all here. We feel for you, but not much. We would be more sympathetic if we didn't have so many problems of our own. 😀

Where did you find these RF cameras, i go tl Liège every two weeks, did find some used
gear for my SLRs and a Olympus XA but yet no working RF from the 70', this way there will
be no cameras left for you to buy!!!!!

In The Netherlands there's a website called Marktplaats (market place), (unfortunately only for Dutch and Belgium visitors.). Last year this website is bought by ebay. There you can find 2.400.000 advertisements (70.000 new advertisments per day). That's how I find my cameras.

although it will not stop GAS, you might try this. for each camera you buy, when it arrives it immediately gets shipped off to have a CLA, when it returns it is like you just received another camera. THEN take the new one out for a nice stroll, 2-3 rolls minumum....
