Camera Work

I would like to see something, but the NZ photography scene isn't overflowing with activity so finding shots is hard.

In the last year my work has shifted from its earlier focus on small towns and rural areas to photographs of places in my hometown, the city of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Fort Wayne is a fairly large city with nearly 300,000 people.

This house is very close to the locations of the two photos above. It is across the street from the school my son attends. I drive him to school every morning and pick him up in the afternoon, which has given me the opportunity to explore areas of the city I normally don't have any reason to be in (We live quite a distance from the school, which is a special school for gifted kids), so I have been photographing the east side a lot lately. Its a safe area during the day, but at night the drug dealers take over and there is an average of a murder every ten days in this area of town!
