Went to Camerdecision to see how the 6 yr old $339 ($100 used):Oly ZX-1 small sensor conpact stacks up against the Leica M9 P. What is better for street photography? What camera do they rate higher? (I picked up a used copy of the Oly a couple years ago as a travel camera for when I don't want to lug a DSLR. I use this little guy all the time.)
Results may surprise you. (SPOILER Oly blows the Leica away for street photography according to this site).

"only if image quality isn't important, LOL"
More features, less image quality. Imagine that...
"Features", are not why you should ever buy any Leica, be it a 2011 M9-P or an M10 from 2017.
A Canon Digital Elph from 2006 has more features than a Leica.

Bots like Ca_decision not surprising me, those who are taking it are.

I've often wondered how they figure out the algorithms for Cameradecision when it comes to comparing cameras for different purposes. Spec by spec is accurate on the face of it, but many things can't be quantified and aren't apparent from the specs.
Well, sure, to some, it could be the better option... but these cameras wars are never subjective and always focus on many factors that mean nothing to many users. Personal camera choice is always subjective though.

-- Tongue planted firmly in cheek here fellas... Yeesh. Though I will say, the Oly is a fine little travel camera. Great (extremely sophisticated) lens and Oly jpegs are always nice.
