Now that CameraGAS is online, this would be a great opportunity for members of RFF who have ads in the classifieds here to place them on CameraGAS. There is no cost now and it would be a good time to get familiar with the listing process.

Congrats on your new site . I note that Australia is not listed as a country for those of us who might want to register....are we ineligible?

Edit...my bad - I just went too far down. Will register. best of luck.

Good luck!

Would be nice if you could provide some kind of API so forums like this could have targeted ads on them. That would be killer feature.

There is the possibilitythat an API could be developed that would allow seemless integration with other sites. With the popularity of RFF, rest asured that this would be the first place to get it.

congrats and good luck! hope this "takes off" (I think thats the expression), and also becomes international also, meaning not only auctions with inside US shipping.

We want this to be an international site. So, shipping to the world is open. One thing we require as per the acceptance agreement is that whatever method of shipping was used, it must have a tracking number. This will give the buyer and seller more confidence in their transaction.

There are a few policies like this on CG to make sure we establish a site were we minimize scammers. We want transactions that are safe for both parties involved.

Cameragas.com is actualy open now. You can register and post for free from now til July 15th. All items for auction now can be bid on, purchased or traded without having to wait. The grand opening will only mean that we will be spreading the word on a more global scope than just here.

Also, dealers will be uploading many good deals which will provide a good selection of gear for different individuals.

So yes, register now and post your ads now. It is Live and Open to the public.

Experienced photo professional's that have been in business for many year and formed a new company for auctioning photographic gear.

I'll take another look at the site. The last time I looked at it, it was a little painful to navigate. I hope it takes off.

Hmmmm must be good .... (free to Homer S.)

Great that experienced, professionals can still find the time to provide us with such a service, must be a difficult choice to make at all times... for I'm sure it involves a lot of work. I sincerely hope it doesn't get in the way of your "professional" photo career .... time-wise that is ...

We have a banner ad on RFF. When the grand opening takes place, we will have banners on other sites as well. However, we feel that RFF has the best concentration of people with a severe case of GAS. Thus, making it the first site for CG to be exposed on.

Glad to hear it! :)

My only other question would be pertaining to your DNS....

A simple whois query seems to indicate registration by proxy...

http://www.networksolutions.com/whois/results.jsp?domain=cameragas.com

This causes some concern on my part, as I have no real idea where you are based, or who in fact owns the domain CameraGas.com, etc. Can you account for this?

I mean no offence... but it does raise a few flags for me.

Thanks in advance for the 4-1-1!
