Do any of you guys know of a site I would be able to get some brown leather for an M4? I've been looking all over the place for some, but I just can't justify spending upwards of $50, and Aki Asahi's Camel is just a little too mustard-y for my tastes.

Thanks!

Just don't use cameraleather.com. Morgan will happily take your money and you will (likely) never hear from him again, even if you try to get in touch with him multiple times over months (or even years).

He has a real attitude problem.

I know that there are threads on cameraleather.com all-over, and some people even recommend it, but at the end of the day it's an unprofessional service and a negative experience.

@waileong
The notion that I should want to spend a needless amount of money on something that doesn't affect image quality is kind of silly, don't you think?

@jammcat
Thanks for the heads up. Guess my tight purse strings benefited me two-fold in this case.

If anyone has any other ideas, let me know!

I don't think it's 'needless'. Clearly you want (need) a new covering for your camera. You just don't want to pay cameraleather.com prices.

Well, it's a free market and there are competing vendors. I have evaluated and find cameraleather.com to be good stuff, worth paying for.

Your mileage may vary.

Sorry I missed this thread when it was posted.

I was just showing off my Griptack covered OM1n and remarking to a friend how much I liked doing business with Camera Leather.

I now have four of his coverings and am entirely satisfied in my dealings with him. (And I'm old and grumpy!)

However, I know it is a sideline biz with him, and I have realistic expectations.

FYI - I've also had good experience in dealings with 'Aki San.'

When people send their money and get nothing, not even a "sorry, I'll take care of it" that is not a sideline bussness, that's fraud.

It'll be two years in March.
Not a single e-mail has been responded to. The only e-mail I ever received from him was the automated "thanks for the purchase!".

I've asked him for just a straight refund, because I'm no longer interested in his product and nothing.

Just did a 'google' search on Cameraleather. All the camera sites have a thread on Cameraleather not sending the product after it has been paid for. Too bad. This would be a nice side line for someone dealing in leather.
