red?

red?

IMHO Joe, this red looks quite bright. Remember the pics of my red M2?
The pics look a little darker than the real thing.

Keep us posted!

just my opinion, but I would like it darker, for example the 'Red Ringmark Lizard' stuff :). Asahi had some winered stuff ...

Hi,
I covered a black Pentax MX in the lighter of the burgundy liard which is superb. I think the bright red might be a bit too bright. If you do go for the burgundy make sure you specify you want the lighter one.. I have also tried Aki's winered but was not that impressed. If you want to do the cover yourself, I have some very nice crimson calf leather arriving in the next week or so. Drop me a PM if you are interested.

Maybe it's my monitor, but this color comes off as flourescent. Something a little more subdued perhaps? (warning: I a more or less a traditionaist when it comes to classic cameras). However, I agree with another poster who suggested that dark burgandy would look good.

If I may be so bold to suggest, did you look at the M3, excuse me Leicaistas it might have been an M2, in Ostrich. He has it available in a brown and black. Elegant, classy, worthy of a P, and it is subtle. Just an idea. I want to cover my Exakta VX IIa in the brown. Just waiting for my ship...

Joe... in red, the Canon looks, let's say, a bit extravagant. I'd try lizard if I were you.

Now, on the other hand, you'd be the life of the party with a Canon P that red! :)

Not a color I'd have picked, at least not for a P. If I were you, I'd go more for burgundy or a wine color. That red is a little too pink for my tastes.

It's a matter of personal taste, Joe. The granite looks like weathered black or vulcanite to me. If it were my P, I'd go with the Indian red or Verdigris (?) goat skin.

One question about the leathers: how thick they are?

I tried to get some uncut stuff from Asahi, but he didn't want
to sell uncut stuff. My Ambi needs new cloths :).

Thanks
rudi
ps. sorry for using this thread for the question, but it seems
that right persons are reading this one ;-)
