A while back I ordered a new levant leather cover for my M8 and was surprised to see that the leather didn't completely surround the frameline lever. The hole for the lever is more of a C instead of a hole if you get my drift. I contacted them and they said that is the way they make it so you don't have to remove the lever to install the cover- but I'm curious if others have experienced the same thing.

let me know

I've installed the stuff on two M's and have one sitting around waiting to go on my M9. And never had a problem putting it on or getting it to look completely integrated to the camera.

I've used several and no problems with the fit. I did unscrew the frame selection lever to make it easy. I selected the Black Beauty on the M8 and it looked like a factory job.

Can't answer your question on the cut, but I'll bet Levant looks great on an M8. I covered an F3 with it in preparation to sell it, but once it was on I found I couldn't part with it.

I haven't installed it but the leather is really nice - I'm still curious as to whether or not the frame-line lever cut is in a C instead of closed for everyone else.
let me know and thanks
