Two of them are Orients, two are Islanders, one is a Wenger.

The Islanders are made by Island Watch in Long Island. They are affordable and built with quality materials (sapphire crystal, ceramic bezel, Seiko NH-36 movement, solid link bracelets, C3 Supuerluminova on hands and markers, screw down crowns, screw down backs, 200 meter water resistance, etc.). They are priced roughly around the same as Seiko divers. Much more bang for your buck though.

As for the Orients, one of them is a Mako XL, the other is a Mako II.

The Wenger is the only quartz in the group.

I have a bit of an obsession with the color orange. 😀
 
Many years ago I "borrowed" my grandfather's pocket watch and I used it to time myself as I was taking some standardized high school exams. I nearly failed a test because the watch was moving too slow. I saw on the watch that I had two hours left to complete the exam when in fact there was only one hour time left! Old watches can be inaccurate.

Now I see why so many people have more than one watch. There are so many beautiful watches to choose from!!!

I would dearly love even the least expensive Rolex or Omega…etc. 🙂 …it just isn’t meant to be.

But I would be equally happy with a nice watch (or two?😮) in the “bargain basement level” 😂 to replace and preserve my sentimental favorite, an inexpensive gold Seiko watch. Selecting another Seiko will be a daunting decision as I had no idea there were so many. Now I get to salivate over all the other brands I see, too!

There is much to learn about the current offerings of traditional watches and it is great fun!

Orient were my first real watch, I can't believe my parents bought me one in year 3 at school. Older Seikos are great but since they moved production to China they have QC issues (dials not aligning with hands, low power reserve, +40 to -15 sec accuracy !!), for a Seiko 5 money you get a Orient Star that nothing can touch it in this price range. All produced and assembled in their factory in Japan. Great quality.

But as I said, I like the older Seikos and if you adjust them are very accurate. And well build.
