To answer the question posed in my heading, yes, a 50/0.95 can find happiness shot at F2.0. Attached are three pics all taken during the past week. The first, the picture of the three musicians was taken wide-open at 0.95. This lens is very similar to the Canon 50/1.2 in that the central core is relatively sharp while the corners are soft. Makes for some interesting efects once you learn how to use it. The other two shots were taken at F2.0 and surprised me with their sharpness and good contrast. This lens can be a good daily user, if you can put up with its size and weight.
All shots are on Ilford Pan-F rated at an E.I. of 50 and developed in Rodinal 1+50, 11 minutes at 20C using Kodak-style agitation.

Nice shots with the 50/0.95. I've found mine quite sharp at F2, and have used it on a few daytime outings. It is heavy, and big.
