Can anyone confidently say they've bought their last camera?

I love the gear (and tech behind them) as much as I love the images made and the act of taking photos. I'm currently really intrigued by all the compacts being released (m43 &smaller).... So no, I'm not there yet and to be honest don't know if I'll ever be.

Well after my recent Leica "O" purchase, I have to build up my savings again. Can you believe it doesn't have a meter, or autofocus, LCD, or even a histogram anywhere. But the man said it can shoot B/W and Colour. I think I overpaid....oh well Leica prices!

To answer the question, no I'm sure I haven't bought my last camera

No, it depends on what breaks next and if it repairable or not. Also, a Plaubel Makina 6x7 would make a nice companion for the XPAN ...

I wished... but it looks like we're just at the beginning of interesting digital cameras. A digital CL with a hybrid viewfinder and an m-mount would definitely make me spend money again... but for the moment I'm very happy with everything I've got already. Not suffering from updatetitis constantly.

Big fat NO.
However, I will say because I'm pretty darned satisfied with my "kit" these days, I'm much less tempted.

I highly doubt I'll ever say "this is the last camera I'll buy" though...

I thought I had bought my last camera when I bought my first of two Bessa R. After having it for a few months and eventually getting a Magnum photographer's signature on the bottom plate, I bought another Bessa R to shoot with primarily. Since then I've replaced the bottom plate from my first R with an identical plate from a Ricoh KR-5 Super II that I used to shoot with, and the signed plate sits safely on the Ricoh, which itself sits in a leather case.

I'm tempted to buy into the M mount Bessa line, but so far I only have screw mount lenses and they have already 'wowed' me enough to stick with them. I think this may be the last camera, but then again I say that everytime a new one comes in the mail. The Bessa feels the most 'correct' to shoot with for me, which is what I've been looking for in a camera, but that isn't to say that there isn't another camera out there with MORE correct (for me) ergonomics, etc. Who knows.

Blurgghh. 🙁

I can see myself eventually buying a used M9 or some future ff digital m mount camera, but for now, I'm done. My RF kit is complete, my SLR kit is complete, my point and shoot kit is complete, my medium format kit is complete (just waiting to take possession of my Hasselblad 50mm lens), I have a speed graphic, and i have studio lighting. I do not need anything else. Just yesterday I deleted bookmarks to eBay and Craigslist on my computer.

I'm starting to be tempted by some of the new digitals that are coming out. I haven't bought anything for a year now and I have some gear that could go. But you take a hit with digital, so...

Good ol' analysis paralysis!😀

No way, not me. I am confident that the "industry" will produce increasingly nifty gadgets that I'll pull out my wallet for. And this includes Leica.

The problem is, the question is not precise, it shoud be, if I am confident I have bought my last FILM camera, as buying new digital cameras for people who use them is quite normal, because of fast model upgrade cycle.
My problem is, I am NOT sure I've bought my last film camera, although I certainly own too many...
