Well, my R-D1 just arrived, bought from a member in CA. It gets dark here early these days but I just had to play with it.
I have to say, the three things I like best about it thus far are:
1. I can use it with the LCD flipped closed, and without going into the menu once for the usual adjustments. You forget that it is digital.
2. The VF is big and bright. That's what I hate most with DSLR's - tunnel vision.
3. It is a rangefinder. I can handhold it as steadily as my other cameras.
So far, everything looks good!
