Hi there,
so i get a lot of use out of my 50/1.1 Nokton, it's probably my most used lens and produces most of the photos of mine that people enjoy. However, it is rather large, especially if it's in the bag while i'm using my 35/1.4 or 25/4 and the 1m minimum focus, compared to my 50/2 Planar's 0.7, is rather frustrating.
So, what i'd like to know is, does anyone have access to both lenses, so that i can see what the images from the 50/1.5 ASPH are like in comparison?
Ideally, i'm only interested in wide open shots, as that's how i use my 1.1, and i'm not too fussed about comparing f1.1 to f1.5.
I'd love to see a couple of tripod shots of an object at 1m (the 1.1's min focus distance) with both lenses and then a third shot of the same subject at 0.7m on the 1.5. After all, i will often get to the min focus distance, wide open, to get the narrowest DOF, so it would be nice to see them at their "max" so to speak.
I've considered the 50 Summilux ASPH for a long time now, but i still can't justify the cost. I don't know how close the 50/1.5 gets to it in practical use, but it would be interesting to see that comparison too.
Many thanks!
