Can you spend just a few minutes to help me with a project?

Only 4 cameras ?- are you sure that you are in the right place ?

Did it though - but not your average camera user !

Amy,
Your survey seems to assume that all purchases are made in stores. I got my last camera in England via Ebay and a previous one, wrapped in good Yak cord, from Siberia. Just a thought.

Well, that was nice. I got to vent a bit about digital photography. I am proud to say my most recent "camera" purchase (as opposed to lenses) was a Nikon N75 that my wife actually asked for since her digital P&S broke and she wanted to return to using an SLR and film. Yay. So, for next to nothing, I bought her the N75 and a 50mm AF-D lens. Thus the question in the survey about advertising and the most recent purchase was completely inapplicable. The camera store that I bought the N75 from was desperately selling it on clearance. And, for RFF, the question about maxing out at "4+" cameras is funny indeed.

Completed, thanks! Camera advertising is interesting, most people I know are extreemly brand loyal, they know what is coming out ahead of time, know how technology is trending and know what features will entice them to upgrade. So, I wonder how much advertising really effects photographers, or rather what kind of people are attracted to these advertisements. My father was always loyal to Canon, and since I was a child he always pionted out the "benifits" of using Canon cameras and lenses. Aside from many nice hand-me-downs:) I tend to prefer Canon myself. Anyone else influenced by their parents preference?

Just got done too.

I too am working on my MBA, love SurveyMonkey. I would have not jumped from every day to 1-2 a week (camera usage question). I fall somewhere inbetween, my survey class was very picky about that.

Market class for me is next year. Good luck!

Totally. My dad had a Yashicamat he bought in 1961 in Hong Kong while in the English Army (Royal Signals). He lovingly passed it on to me and I promptly lost it (well, within a couple of years). I'm on my 5th one now trying to make up for it.

I tried to do the survey earlier this afternoon but the survey site was too busy. So I waited and after dinner, spent a few minutes.
It'll be interesting to see the final results of your project, Amy!

Great idea, Amy, please share your entire project, study, presentation, everything. I would love to see your approach and what your school wants. When I do marketing I hope to have a group as fun as yours sounds.
