Taken with M4-2, Color Skopar PII M, LTM Summarit. Old cinefilms from Kodak and Fuji, made in Russia ECN-2 developing kit.

The skin tones are very nice. I've ndver had much luck scanning color negs. What are you scannng on? Are you using a stock color profile or are you makng your own.

Thank you, Mike, third is the special one for me as well. Came almost straight. Taken with LTM Summarit. Magical lens it seems.
Last one is personal and I scanned it at much more higher resolution and after scaling it back to 777 pix it came as the special one.

x-ray, most of those are very dark negs. Gives extra challenge for hardware. For these negs I used Pacific Image PrimeFilm 7200 scanner with its software and basic correction in LR after.

I'm tuning scanner software with check-boxes only, no histograms, to have scan looks "normal".
Once it is scanned as TIFF, I open it in LR and:
Auto Exposure,
Auto Color Balance, first.
I'll adjust contrast and blacks, sometimes adding more exposure.
And final touch is two bars for color balance. All I do is getting white close to white and if possible skin as skin. Sometimes I'll use another bars for color in LR - highlights and shadows with balance in-between.

I don't think it is anything special, it just... you like it as I like it and I'm thankful for it to both of you.

I might be trying too hard. I'll try some of the auto functions. I never felt comfortable using auto. I feel like I've spent a lot of time fighting software.

Transparencies are a breeze. But now that E6 labs are about gone I want to perfect my C41 scanning. In the commercial photo world in which I've worked virtually all color was done on transparency film. In nearly fifty years Ive only had one client request color negs for scanning / litho reproduction. I've shot very little color neg in my life.

Great photos - I actually like the 'developing defect' on the third and last photo.

I had the PrimeFilm 7200u for awhile and noticed similar vertical banding on my photos when I would do long scanning sessions. If I waited overnight and let the unit cool down, the morning scan would be clear.

Thank you.

Also sometimes my unit will start to scan with green or another color cast after roll of film or so and I have to turn it off to get it back to normal after ten minutes or so.
