I'd say they're pretty sharp, scanned from prints. I like mine but haven't done any candids with it.
 
Check out the split personality of the first guy, with the long hair. His right eye is relaxed and calm, but look at his left!
An essential CV lens, that one.

He's also a photo-nut, and just built a beautiful pin-hole camera out of wood that takes incredible images..

Easy the whole front of the store is windowed and it faces South so the sun pours right in all day, no shades or curtains.. notice 2 are light and 2 are darker, the darker ones were taken towards the back of the store and the lighter one in the front..
