Sorry for another Ultron praise but I simply had to post this pics! (I figured since there´s good looking girls in the pic´s you won´t be too pi$$ed off
)
A bunch of friends and I were at a restaurant two days ago and I brought my M6+Ultron loaded with Neopan1600 with me. Had a very nice dinner (they have 10 different kinds of Gordon Bleu!! awesome) a fun chat and lotsa drinks afterwards and as usual I was shooting some frames.
the quality of the lens strikes me as there is only modest distortion on the edge of the frame and the moody lightning is captured extremely good IMHO.
Never ever will I let this lens go!! Ultron I love you
edit: All shot at 1.9 with shutter speed of 1/30

Thanks for sharing the pics - looks like one of the girls in particular caught your fancy - anyway, I got one of these lenses just before christmas and shot a lot around the holidays, also with Neopan 1600. Haven't processed the film yet, but now i want to even more!

Looks like you've really put the lens focal length and speed to good use.
I shot some Provia 100 over the holidays and am equally delighted with the results. This is one sharp lens! Shooting mostly around F2.8 and 4, the pics under a well corrected 10X magnifier have that remarkable property of a slight 3-D effect. I never got that with any of my SLR lenses. I hate to sound like a shill but the bang for the buck with lens is remarkable.

Thanks for posting the pics!
My new-to-me 28 Ultron is slowly wending its way across the country in the back of a cold brown truck... I can hardly wait!

Indeed a very nice lens, just developed a roll of HP-5 (pushed to 1600 asa with Ilfosol).Not so crips as the Neopan1600 I think, but I am still happy with the result.

Now is "Gordon Bleu" a pun joke, combining the name Gordon with the name of the French cooking school "Cordon Bleu ?" I also just read Gordon Bleu in the Patrick Gale book A Sweet Obscurity, and assumed he was punning. Did you eat ten kinds of stuffed chicken, or did the restaurant offer ten ways of presenting a cooked guy named Gordon?
I like the first two shots you present which seem to distill something of the camaraderie, but the third seems to be the sort of snapshot that only means something if you know the people.

I have the ultron 28/1.9 on my RD-1. I have tried a few lenses on it but the ultron is now the only lens I use. It is very good for both color and b/w. I use it for all kinds of photography that i do.

I just got my test rolls back and am loading a few quick pics in the gallery. I think my 28 Ultron will prove to be a real winner!

I hate you - you are doing it again. Last time you posted pics from this lens - I was about to go and get one, and now this...... You have no shame.
But seriously - great stuff and please post more. I'm tempted, very tempted to get this lens too.

Sorry but I realized when watching from my PC at home that my uploaded pictures totaly suck since I downrized with MS Photoeditor (got nothing else at work)..
@ SDK..my mistake..I did mean Cordon Bleu (the Wiener Schnitzel stuffed with ham and cheese
)
@Krosya: Just do it! The downsized pics don´t do it justice you have to see negs or slides to realy appreciate the lens
@Ken: glad you like the lens too! I have to check your pictures out!
