Hello,

I just realized that I have two exposed rolls of film of which I cannot identify the brand name anymore. I know one of them is a Fomapan Classic 120, ISO 100.
The other might be an Ilford...

This is what the labels say:
1) PAN FILM 120 EXP. BW Black / White 100 ASA (it also has a green strip at the end of the film)
2) EXPOSED (nothing else, it's all black except the "exposed" strip, which is white with black lettering)

I feel a bit awkward asking this, but I am still pretty new to medium format photography. Also, I need to know because the Fomapan goes to DR5 for developing, the other doesn't.

It would be great if someone could help me figure this out!

I had a similar confusion and went with best guess based on the color of the film. One is slightly greener as I recall... But for me it was foma 200 and hp5.

Check to see how close the two rolls are in development times, if not too far apart, process one roll with the longer time, then you can tell the other by ruling out, and if it got a bit extra development, you should be able to print through it. You will more than likely not hit +1 development until you process over by 50%.

The edge printing will tell you what the first roll is.

Regards, John

Shot a roll of Fomapan 100 120 yesterday but can't recall what it looks like exposed. Ther was some green on the backing paper, but was that at the beginning or at the end? :bang:

Anyway, I'm going to develop it tonight 🙂
