apparently there were about 6 versions of this model according to this page:

http://www.canonrangefinder.servehttp.com/index.php?page=lenses&type=telephoto_lenses&id=25

Has anyone owned both a 15 blade and 10 blade version and done comparisons?

When did click stops get implemented?

Do the later ones have better coatings for less flare?

Since the original hoods are going to be rare, are there any aftermarket 40mm tele style hoods?

The original hood for my Nikkor 105/2.5 f p*c is very long and cylindrical, so I assume a cylindrical 40mm hood would be ideal for this fl?

Click stops only appeared on the later all black version of the lens. Proper hood is about 2 inches long, pretty narrow, 42mm clamp-on style (easily lost, aftermarket screw-in types much safer). I use a heavystar in 40mm to 40.5mm step-up ring with a 40.5mm screw-in hood
