I have read nice things about this lens and was looking for a wide angle to mount on my Sony A7 (and my RF bodies too if I pick the right version).

Though the RF and FL version have a deeply rear element that gets inside the body. No problem for film, but do you think we can have the magenta cast with the Sony A7 ?

If so, I will go for the much bigger SLR FL R version which should be fine...

(cant edit title, pleas read : "LTM, FL, or FL R")

I have seen a review of the A7 suggesting it is more susceptible to color fringing with deep-set lenses than are the digital Leicas, so I suspect it would be wise to limit the RF versions to film, and go look for an FL lens for your Sony. You can always adapt the Canon SLR lens to LTM or M if you want to.

Cheers,
Dez

I used mine (LTM with B Adapter) on Canon LTM bodies, but it would not go into my Nex 3's, due to the rear cell depth. You could also run into the camera issue, but I have no direct experience.

I prefer the SLR lenses for wide shooting with my setups.
