I recently bought this lens from member Kim Coxon and here's some images made w/ it from a recent foray to a interesting, traditional market near my home. Yes--they sell live/ butchered dogs to eat. I passed on that "delicacy."

Hint: It's a long way culturally and distance from my beloved TEXAS.

Did you boost contrast on some images Bill? I don't recall my 25 being so contrasty...

All I did was shoot at F11/ 250 and no filter/ hood, no photoshop, J and C Photo's Classic 400.

Nice Lens! 😀

'Glad you like it. It's taken quite a journey in its 55 some years, hasn't it? There's something about shooting it instead of a CV25....or some other modern 25 that appeals to me.

The scans are not the best, but the lens appears quite sharp, and it doesn't seem as "wide-angle distortion-ny" as the 25mm snapshot skopar. I used to have that lens, and while it was quite sharp, all my shots with it looked so OBVIOUSLY wide- angle, where-as these shots could pass for a 28mm

You're right--the scans suck, but the'll have to do until I get my own scanner. Maybe they don't like 25mm shots since they're somewhat close-ups?

No, I still have it and use it often--more than all my others for streetshooting. It's small, light and the hyperfocal distance w/ it is great as long as you are close (2 meters) to the subject.
