Hey guys,
Recently the lens I have been looking for and lusting after for over a year came up in mint condition at my local camera shop right next to where I study for £350.

I am selling a lot of gear and have just got a job at McDonalds to fund it but i would like to get some opinions and sample images from you guys. I understand there are better 28mm lenses in LTM but my system of choice is canon and I like keeping everything authentic.

I have that lens and is is very good

I also have the 28/3.5, which seems to produce sharper and more contrasty images wide open. I love both. The 28/3.5 is very very small, which is great.

I have owned the chrome version of the 28/3.5 and presently own a later black version of the 28/3.5. Both are great and have a tiny size. The chrome version had a nice heavy build quality, but the newer black version has better ergonomics (bigger focus ring).

My lenses are both single coated and render wonderfully in B&W. There is a retro look where wide open the center is mucho sharp, but that does not extend all the way to the corners.

I had an early 28/3.5, which I sold when I bought a 28/2.8. I find the 2.8 more capable of producing images that are sharp across the frame from around f/5.6, with the 3.5 really needing to be in the optimal f/8 or f/11 range to do so. The extra stop (well, almost) is nice to have, but practically speaking I don't think there's that big a performance gap between the two.
