That is a great price for a fantastic lens, I paid $150 for my black & chrome one on the bay but in fact it was almost spotless. I agree with Joe, that lens offers really pleasant results, very sharp focused areas and 'dreamy' look on the oof, the way it renders the background reminds me a bit of the Jupiter-12, but it's a lot sharper.
The lens is very compact and very well built, and after seeing the results I don't think you'll need a hood for it with its recessed front element. The focus throw is rather long so it's a bit difficult to fast focus it but OTH offers more precision, also I mainly use 35s with hyperfocal distance for the street.
As for comparison with for example my voigtlander 35/2.5, I'd say that where the CV lens delivers ink drawings, the canon gives you carbon ones, of course you may or may not like its looks, but if you get it and find it not to be your piece of cake you can always sell it here and recover your investment.
