Just got a black v1 35mm - very impressed with this lens.
Slight barrel distortion, vignetting wide open, build quality feels a bit flimsy, but the phots are coming out great. Love the colors and rendering. Very sharp in center even wide open.

Very nice! Yes, this lens is a great little lens with some minor shortcomings but it is a bargain.

Please tell me you were using a tripod!
Wonderful available light pictures (or were you using flash?) sharp as a tack where they need to be.
Where is this?

Thanks for the comments!

The museum is in Riga, Latvia. They've recently renovated and I must say done a great job with the overall design and especially the lighting.

All shots handheld and no flash. I guess the Sony a7ii stabilization is quite good even for adapted lenses.

Oh, a modern digital body with stabilization? That's cheating!.. Ha ha, just kidding you :). Really nice photos. Thanks for posting them. I wish I could visit this museum.

Are these scanned from the negative or prints? Either way, nice!

Great shots and great lens. If it had 40.5 filter thread and would focus down to 0.7 it would be a perfect (tiny and fast) 35mm lens.

You often hear that it's got weird colors and flare, but I haven't noticed anything like that so far...

That's another bonus for the sony - I use a close focus adapter to get a bit closer than it would otherwise do. It's a chinese knockoff of the voigtlander one, but it's solid brass, well built and works like a treat.
