Hello,

I have in my possession a Canon 50/0.95 lens that is not the TV version. The mount on the lens allows the lens to be mounted on a Canon R bellows. The mount has the two wings normally seen on the rangefinder version of this lens, but the diameter of the mount is too wide to fit on my Canon 7. The mount can screw on and off. Does anyone know whether the mount for the Canon 7 or 7s also screws off the lens and, if so, whether I could substitute such a mount for the mount currently on the lens? Also, if it is possible to substitute mounts, is there anyone here who has converted their lens to an M mount lens who has an extra mount that I could use for my Canon 7?

Thanks very much.

I would be interested in seeing a picture of the mount. There is no screw-on mount for the 0.95 that I'm aware of, except ones designed to adapt it to various TV/movie cameras for professional use.
If the mount does fit the R bellows, it was probably a one-off custom mount made by a lab for its own use.
I'd also be curious as to the serial number. Was it an early or late production lens?

Harry
