Canon 50f1.8 chrome

i use it primarily with a hood but results have been good without one as well (though i haven't used one 'naked' in flare inducing situations)...
May I ask what is the proper hood for the all-chrome 50/1.8? I have this one but it does not fit (too large):

Reading Dante Stella's review of the lens, it would appear that the correct hood is a clip-on with a thumbscrew?

no you have the correct hood. you are just missing the included adapter. canon hoods just about all had the SERIES filter adapter included, but any brand adaper works

heres some series 6 http://www.filterfind.net/Series_6.html

Great lens used the chrome version it in backlight situations and still it did not flare (like other lenses) One of my favourites!

another photo of what the Canon Serenar 50/1.8 chrome looks like on an M3

All photos in this flickr pool:

were taken with the same Canon 50mm lens.

Personally, I really like the lens, although I'm trying to sell it in the RFF classifieds (sale pending as of now). I was allowed (wife) to buy a Summicron 50 though, so I jumped on the chance. Enjoy it!

johnsonjj22,
like your photos and good luck w/the sale,
this lens has gained a lot of attention lately.
After the sale you'll wish you had kept it. 🙂
