Hi all:

I'm a young amateur photographer, I mostly do digital SLR, and I have been reading and learning tons, it is a nice hobby!

My dad found the other day this lens and gave it to me. I've been doing some research and I've found that this lens can be coupled with a Canon 7 or can be adapted for a Leica rangefinder. Since I don't do rangefinders I'd rather sell it and get a lens for my Pentax KD100S. It's in perfect mechanical condition and the glass has no scratches. Apparently this lens is not cheap but here is the catch the lens seems to have very slight fungi lines at the very edge of the front element. This probably won't affect the quality of the pictures but how much will it affect the resell value? How much do you think I can get for this lens?

Here you can see pictures:

Any opinions are welcome!!

Welcome to RFF, Christian!

Someone will correct me if I'm mistaken, but that isn't the Canon 7 version of the lens - it's the TV camera version. They can still be adapted for M mount use, but it's involved and not inexpensive to have done. It does still have value, but nowhere near as much as the still camera version.

Also, the marks on the edge of the front element look more like scrapes from dismantling or reassembling the lens to me than fungus. Again, I could be wrong.

It does not look like fungus, with the spider web like fingerprint. Also, I would expect the fungus to be at other places too.
