I'm now the happy owner of two haze free black and chrome 50mm f/1.8 LTM lenses (in my eager to find I haze free one, I bought two promising lenses about the same time). Both turned out to be fine! One with 11 aperture blades, distance scale in feet, serial # 213xxx, and another one with 8 aperture blades, distance scale in meters, serial # 305xxx. Both minimum aperture of 22. Helicoids differ. Both are equally sharp. I see a slight tendency to swirly bokeh with the oldest one. Not sure if the newer one will differ in that regard.

My Canon 50/1.8 LTM lens shows no haze. I bought it used a couple years ago.

I have one since 1975 and I keep it by a dehumidifier all the time. Still clear as a bell

If you look on ebay listings many of them are fogged. My first one was.
I have now fog free from honorable HH. I gave it some lube and it is much more smooth comparing to lenses labeled as Leitz. I got rid of all Leitz labeled lenses after getting this fog free lens and J-3.
