I've contacted John at Focal Point. I know he can re-coat it - it's just a matter of cost.
As to the 50mm f/1.9 - it's smooth as butter and focus is dead on. It also has a bit of residual haze thus Youxin says it is a bit soft. I'll have to test it to see just how soft it is.
