Canon 7 light seals

Hello all,
My newly, finally acquired Canon 7 appears to have remnants of light seals around the door and definitely near the hinge. I've read somewhere on the internet that they should only have a tiny bit of light seal near the hinge. What's correct?
There appear to be pretty decent baffles everywhere, so no seals might be needed?
I have foam material, but no felt. So far I've had good luck with foam, what's the opinion on foam vs. felt regarding durability?
I have a test roll on the way, but I'd prefer to know what is supposed to be like, because light leaks are always a little random, so I can't be sure to have caught them on the test roll, and have a habit of occurring only when one finally shoots something important...
I can't believe this hasn't been discussed here before, my search didn't show anything.

Looking at my old Canon 7, there is a long strip of a light seal running down the entire length of the camera body right next to the hinges. I’m guessing the seal to be about 5mm wide and 50mm long. As for other seals on the camera, there is a thin, foam seal running in both grooves of the camera body where the back door closes into.

Thank you, seals it is. Nothing needed on the cartridge side, right?
Any thoughts on foam vs. felt?

No, nothing at all on the cartridge side. Looking at the seal on the hinge side of the camera, it's very thin, no more than one millimeter. Felt would probably be better here than foam.
