Canon 7D, new competitor for M8 ?

Thanks, I had forgotten about the Digilux 2 & similar cameras. I wish more cameras used the EVF concept (& improved upon it because EVFs so far have been unsatisfactory compared to a decent SLR) & dispensed w/the external screen entirely.

That is called an EVF (electronic viewfinder.)The Leica Digilux 2 for instance, an excellent camera with a bit of a cult status.

So bottom line is a manufacturer can take the new micro4/3 camera body, hang an M-mount on it, stick a hotshoe on top and have a new Leica Digital "A" camera? Live view would be an option however the Leica glass does not have an auto diaphragm to permit it.

Demonstrate enough demand and the maufacturer can add a VF and RF. If I recall this is how CV started a few years back with the 15mm and VF on a simple voigtlander body. Now we have R4A cameras within 6 or 7 years.

I wll take one.
