Hi,
Just had my 7s and 50mm f1.2 CLA'd. Delighted, looks tremendous. Running a film through, I finished, then was rewinding.
It appeared to finish (the little red-eye stopped rolling!), but when I opened the back it hadn't fully rewound.
For some reason, the piece inside which turns the film spool had unscrewed (hence the lack of "rolling") and as a result, the rewind crank and shaft came right out of the body. No problem, just put it back in and screw the end piece on again....
Trouble is, it won't go back in fully. It appears that there is something in the body stopping the shaft.
Any advice?

There's a hairpin spring inside the rewind shaft opening that keeps the shaft from flopping up and down. It snaps into a shallow groove on the shaft. As you insert the shaft, you need to press back this spring with a thin, flat tool such as a very small screwdriver. If you look straight down into the rewind-shaft opening, you should be able to see where to press.
The attached PNG shows the rewind shaft and its socket (this diagram is from a Canon 7 repair manual, but the 7s should be similar or identical.) The spring is the part labeled C2438. This may help you visualize what you're trying to accomplish.
