Canon A1/WP1?

Yes, I know it's not a rangefinder but I just bought one of these cameras (a WP-1) for a mere $26 from evilbay. I didn't feel like taking my Bessa R kayaking and this Canon seems like a tough little bugger with a decent 32/3.5 lens.

Does anyone have any experience with this camera? There seem to be two versions, the A-1 and the WP-1. Are they the same? Also, is this camera truly waterproof down to 5 meters or is it merely water-resistant like the Oly Stylus Epic?

I have the A-1 version. It works pretty well and as far as I can tell it actually is waterproof. When I was reasearching these, the A-1 was listed as "waterproof" and the WP-1 was listed as "weather proof", but from what I can tell they are the exact same camera. It may just be a cover-your-ass marketing thing.
I used mine down to about 10 feet. It didn't leak and the photos turned out pretty good.
