Hello Folks,
I bought the 'mythical' ES-E1 cable for my Canon 1V recently, knowing that it came without the software disk. I had previously downloaded 'the software' and thought that I was finally all set to go. However, I have recently discovered that the software I downloaded was the updated version, and needs the original disk present to be installed. I guess this operates in a similar way to the Canon printer software updates - the original disk is needed simply to authenticate the original purchase.
Does anyone have an original disk that I could make an image of? I don't think it will be possible to obtain this from Canon, and although I wouldn't normally copy software, I think this is so out of date it surely shouldn't cause a problem!
Best regards,
RoyM
