New Delhi: Restructuring its priorities, Canon India will now focus solely on digital imaging products, bidding farewell to analog cameras.

There have been rumblings here in New Zealand about Canon NZ dropping film cameras as well and concentrating on digital. Though it should make the Nikon agent smile...

Canon India I can inagine. In a country where film cameras are nearly as expensive as digital cameras, who'll want the inconvenience of film? And with a market of over a billion people, an economy growing more stronger and richer by the day, and low production costs, I can see why Canon India will focus on digital instead of film. Sad for some, perhaps, but true.
