Canon F1 CLA?

The shutter on my (old) F1 is capping at speeds faster than 1/500.

Can anyone recommend a reputable service person for classic Canon SLR cameras in the USA?

Shutter capping is adjusted like a Leica. Two spring adjustments, accessible in the bottom of the camera.

He even re-did a bad Re-lube that was 1/2 done on my 1953 Jupiter 9 from a well known NJ repair guy that told me he knew how to do it... he did not.

You may want to consider Ken Oikawa. Ken’s a retired Canon repair tech who still works on FD and FL cameras/lenses. He also has a bunch of NOS parts. Does absolutely top-notch work. He's in California. Google his name for his phone number.
