Canon FD 50mm 1.4 Question

I have a Canon FD 50mm 1.4 lens.
It had a slight bit of fungus inside the front element. It cleaned up nicely.
I used a credit card to pry the name ring out, but when I put it back it just spins.
Is there a trick to getting it back in without spinning? Glue?
Any suggestions?

A spot of glue would do it. Or light-duty Loctite. Maybe even nail polish. I wouldn’t use a lot though, if you think you may remove the trim-ring sometime in the future.
