Canon FD pride thread...because this board is too Nikon biased.

To be honest, I think this lens is an excellent performer but I would like to have it "de-yellowed it" because I want to use it with colour as well.

I tried some shots on my Ftb against a FD 50mm f1.4 SSC with a 1.5 warming filter and here there are the results:

Having said that, the yellow cast in some cases might be also pleasant:

But I'm afraid in most cases it's too invasive:

I would like to attenuate this effect.

For the FD lenses bokeh, to be honest I find the 1.4 a littel boring:

The 1.2 lenses are better.

Beloved Canon A-1 w/ FD 28mm f2.8 - When I was starting out on my quest to be a pro shooter, the A-1 was my dream camera. Finally acquired one, about 30 years late, which I dearly love. Patience is a virtue.

There was the 55/1.2 and 55/1.2 asph and 50/1.2 and 50/1.2L.
I am now second guessing what my lens really was! It may have been the non-asph 55/1.2.
I sld it and got the 50/1.2L which I still own.
