I've been buying some boxes of assorted camera "junk" from the bay--I've seen one or two things I want/need🙂rolleyes: ) and the rest of the stuff is extra. The last box I got had a small box in it reading "Canon Hood clamp on type for Convertor EEE leather case included" Inside is just that( I think) it is a two part thing, the silver ring which fits very nicely on my various FSU lenses and the black hood. There is a slot for, I guess, Series filters?
So I hope some one here can answer some questions about it:
What was it actually made for?
What size Series filters fit the slot(if that's what it really is for)?
Are there any other hoods that will screw on to this? The hood that's on it is very nice but some other options would be useful.
I'm not wanting to sell it, but is this one of those silly rare accessories that I should not use but, maybe, trade for something else that won't give Canon folks apoplexy if I scratch it?
Thanks all!
Rob

Are there any dates on the box? The Canon logo looks more recent than the RF boxes. I'm guessing, and it's a wild guess, that the Coverter EEE was a screw on attachment (wide or tele) lens for a fixed lens Point & Shoot camera.

EDIT TO SAY:

GOOGLE knows. I was close. The Converter EEE was a wide angle attqachment for a movie camera.

Series VI (6) filters are about 1-1/2" in diameter. Series VII is larger, about 2" (very close to 55mm) and Series V is smaller.
