I bought this Canon IIb here which the owner honestly declared to have a broken shutter, RF out of alignment, need of CLA and other maladies of old age. But it appeared to be otherwise in very nice cosmetic condition.
So I sent it to Oleg who replaced the shutter etc. all for much less then $100. I purchased it unskined so I ordered a new Levant skin from CameraLeather. Replacing the skin was really easy and only took about 5 minutes.
I used GoofOff to remove any left over old adhesive, Isopropyl alcohol to remove left over GoofOff, and Purell hand cleaner to slow the drying time of the new skin's adhesive all per instructions.
