Hello all.

I came across a IVsb and the shutter speeds seem fine, but the dial is off by two places.
500 is bulb 1000 is 25.
If I take the dial off, would I be able to re-align?

thanks

Possibly originally caused by adjusting the shutter speed without first cocking the shutter?????? I think I had something of this sort happen to me due to my absent mindedness on one occasion.

1/1000th sec Dial a little higher than the rest.

My IVsb shutter dial sits (or clicks into every place), but on 1000 it sits a bit higher. still works, but wondering if it should click into the slot?

Thanks

No, the shutter speed dial should rest a bit higher when set to 1/1000. Many old 35mm rangefinders with a horizontal focal plane shutter are like this (don't ask me why).
